Sa building crown, maaaring magtagpo ang columns, beams, brace members at connection plates sa limitadong espasyo. Ang karaniwang propesyonal na termino ay complex structural-steel connection o multi-member connection, hindi awtomatikong “cast-steel node.” Dapat lamang gamitin ang cast-steel connection kapag pinatutunayan ito ng approved drawings at material documents.
Ginagawang fabrication, inspection at erection information ng steel detailing ang structural design information; hindi nito awtomatikong inililipat ang structural design responsibility.
Geometry, clash detection at access
Inaayos ng detailing model ang member centre-lines, section orientation at control elevations bago suriin ang connection plates, stiffener plates, splice plates, bolt-hole groups at welds. Dapat ding isama sa clash detection ang wrench clearance, welding access, NDT surfaces at coating-repair areas.
Fit-up, welding sequence at distortion
Dapat tukuyin sa manufacturability review ang datum members, fixtures, tack-welding sequence, access para sa principal welds at turning arrangement. Sinusuri rin ang weld type, heat input, restraint, weld shrinkage at distortion bago ang batch production.
Transport, inspection at trial assembly
Dapat isaalang-alang sa shipping splits ang equipment capability, road o container limits, lifting points at erection sequence. Sinusuri sa dimensional inspection ang control coordinates, plate angles, hole groups, bevels, straightness at splice gaps. Kung may panganib ng accumulated tolerance, isinasagawa ang trial assembly ayon sa project requirements. Ang materials, weld categories, NDT extent at tolerances ay pinamamahalaan ng kontrata, drawings, WPS, ITP at applicable project standards.
